Bio

As a past Chief Examiner, Senior Examiner, Examiner and Lead Tutor with the UK Institute of Financial Services and the UK Chartered Institute of Marketing, I have developed and moderated training and educational programmes, led a team of tutors and written learning materials including course texts for various clients including Worldwide Learning (News International Group), FT Knowledge (Financial Times Group) and various chartered institutes.

Prior to establishing my own business, I was the General Manager of Tamar Science Park in Plymouth, UK. Reporting to the Board of Trustees, I project-managed the construction of the site, organised the funding, appointed the staff and coordinated all the marketing and communications activities.

Before managing the Science Park, which was a partnership between the University of Plymouth and local government, I spent the previous 8 years as a lecturer and programme manager.

Prior to my move to the education sector, I was a Marketing Manager within the RTZ group, preceded by 17 very successful and highly formative years spent within the Barclays Bank Group. Within the Barclays Group I moved from the consumer finance division to the corporate finance division and following my last promotion to the role of Regional Corporate Finance Specialist, I developed new business with major corporate clients and the government sector. During this time I also provided funding and taxation advice to treasurers and finance directors and recommended and authorized multi-million pound credit lines for individual clients.

I hold various professional and academic qualifications including an MBA and the Chartered Institute of Marketing Post Graduate Diploma. I am also a graduate of the Institute of Export and a qualified assessor and internal verifier.
